🛍️ BROWSE MY COMPLETE SHOP & CURATED RECOMMENDATIONS

Give your room an instant colorful upgrade with this easy DIY clay flower mirror project! Using air-dry clay, colorful pebbles, and strong adhesive, you can craft a vibrant, aesthetic frame in just a few simple steps.

  MATERIALS REQUIRED-

Air-Dry Clay / Modeling Clay (Multiple colors: Pink, Yellow, Purple, Green, White, Orange)

Clay Sculpting Tools (For shaping petals and carving leaf patterns)

Wall Mirror (Arched or rectangular)

B-7000 Glue (or strong clear craft adhesive)

Decorative Pebbles & Mini Stones [OPTIONAL]

STEP-BY-STEP GUIDE

Step 1: Surface Preparation

Clean your mirror glass thoroughly with a microfiber cloth and glass cleaner. Ensure the borders are completely free of dust and oil so the adhesive sticks properly. Keep all your clay colors and sculpting tools ready on your workstation.

Step 2: Sculpting the Flowers & Leaves

Classic Petal Flowers: Roll small clay balls for the center. Shape 5-6 smaller balls into teardrops for petals, flatten them, and place them around the center.

Detailing: Use a clay tool to press fine indentation lines into each petal for a realistic texture.

Leaves: Roll green clay into small pointed shapes, flatten them, and carve fine leaf veins down the middle with your tool tip.

Step 3: Arrange and Glue

Dry-fit your flowers and leaves along the mirror border first to see how the layout looks. Once satisfied, apply B-7000 glue generously to the back of each clay piece and press them firmly onto the mirror edge.

Step 4: Fill Gaps with Pebbles [OPTIONAL]

Apply small drops of glue in the empty spaces between the flowers (especially around the bottom corners) and press colorful decorative pebbles into place. This adds texture and hides any visible gaps. Let the entire setup dry completely for 24 hours.

PRO TIPS FOR BEST RESULTS

Partial Drying: Let the sculpted clay flowers sit for 10 minutes before gluing. This helps them hold their shape when you press them onto the glass.

Glue Choice: B-7000 or a strong clear gel glue works best for glass bonding without leaving messy white residue.
